MARY CATHERINE KINNEY

Mary Catherine Kinney is a Nashville-based marketing executive with more than 10 years of experience across music, tech and lifestyle brands. Kinney currently serves on the Artist & Label Marketing team at Spotify overseeing relationships with artists & industry in Nashville and leading global music & cultural marketing campaigns for acts at Universal Music Group and Sony Music. Since joining Spotify in 2018, Kinney has executed marketing initiatives for artists including Taylor Swift, Luke Combs and George Strait and launched the second installment of Spotify's flagship live country experience, Hot Country Live. Prior to joining Spotify, Kinney spent eight years leading media and brand strategy for country artists in Nashville. She led media campaigns at Sony Music Nashville for artists including Luke Combs, Maren Morris, LANCO, Tenille Townes and Miranda Lambert. She began her music career at Universal Music Group in marketing launching Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi and Brothers Osborne and working alongside artists including Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves, Luke Bryan and more. A former fashion publicist, Kinney began her career in media strategy for Nike. A Georgia native, Kinney spends her time between her home in Nashville, Tennessee and with her family on their farm in Albany, Georgia.
