Abby Wells Baas is an agent at WME, where she has helped develop artist careers for over 23 years.  She currently handles all bookings in the Great Lakes States territory, representing the extensive WME Country roster in Arenas, Amphitheaters, Theaters/Performing Arts Centers, Festivals and Casinos.  Abby is the responsible agent for Kenny G, Easton Corbin, Thompson Square, The Oak Ridge Boys, Ruthie Collins, Natalie Stovall, Dillon Carmichael, Double Dare Live and comedian Jon Reep. She has previously helped guide the careers of Ralphie May, Lee Ann Womack, Craig Morgan, Jason Jones, Brandy Clark and Maggie Rose.  Abby also is and adviser for the Nashville Agent Trainee program, which involves programming educational events and opportunities for WME Agent Trainees.

Abby Wells Baas began her career at McGhee Entertainment in New York, NY and Magnatone Records in Nashville, TN.  After college, William Morris Agency asked Abby to become a part of their team. Abby worked her way up to an agent and became the first woman in the Country Music division's history to be promoted to an agent from the coveted Agent Training program.  Abby’s hard work and determination led her to receive IEBA’s New Agent of the Year Award in 2002. She was a recipient of the Nashville Business Journal’s Women in Music City award in 2018 and 2019.

 Abby is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a BS in Recording Industry Management and minors in Entertainment Technology and Mass Communication.  She worked with MTSU to develop a course specifically on talent agencies for the Recording Industry program. Each semester Abby is able to help teach a portion of the course, giving the students an industry perspective.  She also served two terms as a member of the National Association for Campus Activities’ (NACA) Board of Directors (2006-2008).

She also sits on WME’s Civic Engagement committee and participates in WME’s Women in Music and Talk the Talk programs and is an avid supporter of UNICEF.  In addition to her work at WME, Abby is also very active in the Nashville community. She is an alumni of Solid and Leadership Music. A mother of three, Abby is an avid adoption advocate and regularly volunteers her time at Edmondson Elementary School, is a Cookie Mom for Girl Scout Troop 1255, and co-chairs the community engagement committee for her neighborhood.
