Brittany Schaffer is Spotify’s Head of Artist & Label Marketing, Nashville. In this role, Brittany and her team partner with artists, labels, and managers to develop and execute world-class marketing campaigns for artists, such as Kacey Musgraves and Keith Urban, to promote their music on and off platform, to bring their stories to life, to maximize the artists’ exposure and global reach, and to help artists form a deeper connection with their fans.

This includes spearheading the transformation of the flagship Hot Country playlist into an “enhanced playlist,” adding original video content to and re-branding the visual identity of the playlist, and bringing Hot Country to the fans off platform through Spotify’s four-day activation at CMA Fest, a U.S. marketing campaign, and the launch of Hot Country Live with Carrie Underwood and Dan + Shay on the 4th of July.
Prior to joining Spotify in January 2018, Brittany was Senior Counsel in the Entertainment Department of Loeb & Loeb, LLP, an international law firm often recognized as U.S. News & World Report’s Law Firm of the Year in Music. Brittany maintained a robust legal practice focused primarily on the music industry and branded entertainment, including representing the contestants on Seasons 9 - 12 of The Voice and advising established and developing talent clients. Brittany also worked with consumer brands, live event companies, and digital services to assist their teams in developing music strategies and negotiating key agreements.
Brittany’s work and relationships within the Nashville community have garnered her recognition as one of Hollywood's New Leaders (Variety), a Mid-South Rising Star (Super Lawyers), and one of the leading Women in Music City (Nashville Business Journal).
Brittany received her B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 2007, and her law degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in 2010.
